How do I know if implants are right for me? You are a candidate for
implants if:
- You want to be more confident in your smile.
- You want to be able to enjoy eating again.
- You want to maintain or increase your bone support.
- You want to avoid damaging your good teeth with a fixed bridge.
- Have chronic sores with an existing denture or partial.
- Have difficulty speaking with your existing appliance.
- You want to avoid having take out dentures or partials.
With our ever increasing life
expectancy conventional dentures and
bridge work does not keep up with our body's needs. Implants are not
perfection but they do match our needs better than dentures. Dentures
were okay when we did not live as long. And today we expect to have
a better quality of life than the previous generation.

Overdenture implants that we placed. This procedure
was done in a unique one stage surgery. So the patient did not
have to go through the usual two stage surgery where the surgeon
must put patient through a second surgery to uncover the implants. The
other disadvantage of two step procedure is the patient must
wait several months before getting an retention. |
